Mixed Media Paintings - Environments in Paint and Paper

When I discovered Hanji and other handmade paper I immediately loved its texture, color, and historic durability. Having worked on paper before, it was a natural step for me to incorporate paper as an element into my landscape paintings. It affords me a new way to integrate color and shape into landscapes and environments, and provides rich and textured planes.

I love color field paintings and by using handmade paper I can add a new dimension to abstract painting.
